Marketing Manager - Brisbane

Ampersand International is partnering with a leading global engineering firm known as the creative force at the heart of many of the world’s most prominent projects in the built environment. They are currently looking to appoint an experienced Marketing Manager to join their high performing regional team to implement and execute its marketing strategy across Queensland.

Reporting to the Regional Head of Marketing and Communications and leading the Marketing function locally, you will work closely with the local leadership team and subject matter experts to develop and implement a marketing plan tailored for the Queensland market and its client base.

Evaluating opportunities and challenges, both currently and into the future, you will be expected to develop innovative client led marketing and supporting business generation initiatives to ensure the firm is well known in the Queensland market, has strong relationships with key clients and supports business generation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coach and advise client teams to ensure an effective approach to key client account management, which will include facilitating account planning and client feedback sessions.
  • Work in close collaboration with the local leadership team and marketing colleagues to leverage regional marketing and business generation initiatives, to develop integrated campaigns which can be delivered into the Queensland market.
  • Manage local external relationships with business and industry associations.
  • Proactively identify market profile and positioning opportunities to promote the firm’s expertise – including capturing and promoting compelling project stories and curating impactful client events.

The successful applicant will have at least 7 years’ experience in a strategic marketing and business development capacity – preferably from within the built environment or broader professional services. You will have an excellent understanding of strategic and tactical marketing and business generation practices, covering a range of areas such as market analysis, marketing plan development, event management, strategic account management, content development, alliance marketing and internal communications.

Experience managing and developing a small team as well as being an exemplary stakeholder manager, possessing demonstrated qualities of gravitas, collaboration, patience and persistence along with creativity and a willingness to be hands on will be key to your success in this role.
