Assistant Manager - Shanghai

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager for our Shanghai office. This role will support the business development and marketing activities for our China offices and our service lines more broadly. This position is expected to work closely with key principals, senior managers and the broader global marketing team.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work with Principals and key associates /snr managers on a wide range of business development and marketing activities including targeting, research, pitch coordination, pipeline management, pre and post meeting follow-up
  • Support the broader global marketing team on cross border initiatives.
  • Management of content in CRM System ‘PipelineDeals’ for China and the global service line.
  • Conferences – manage the schedule and support planning and targeting, as well as following-up business development opportunities.
  • Managing Rouse’s WeChat account – familiarity with the WeChat corporate accounts interface system is highly desirable.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of awards and directories submissions.
  • Email marketing – Using third party application systems to create event invites in html, filter relevant lists and blast out the invite and manages the on-line RSVPs mailing system
  • Regular website content management and updates.

Requirements / Skills Needed

  • University graduate
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken) a must, overseas study experience is preferable
  • Strong copywriting skill in both Chinese and English, relevant translation experiences is a plus
  • Preferably experience in a previous law firm or consulting firm.
  • Forward thinking, Well organised
  • Great communication skills, confident speaking to people at all levels
  • Open-minded and friendly personality, enjoy communicating with people internally and externally
  • Preferably someone who wants a career in marketing and business development in the professional services sector
  • Works well with a virtual team around the world, as well as working independently in Shanghai
  • Able to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strong IT capability and knowledge of CRM software is an added advantage
