A global leader in B2B consulting is looking for a Council Manager to develop and grow the firm’s council network across Australia and New Zealand.

The role is an exciting position with opportunities to work closely with business and investment leaders that are driving industries throughout the world and develop and manage content on different industries for clients. The Council Manager will work closely with client facing staff on strategic recruiting efforts and custom client projects designed to quickly put clients in touch with relevant key opinion leaders and senior level industry executives.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small team of expert recruiting team to deliver all aspects of clients’ projects
  • Grow the council networks in Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) by recruiting key opinion leaders through research, networking, direct outreach and relationship building
  • Innovate and enhance recruiting channels
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key thought leaders across various sectors
  • Work closely with the research team to gauge clients’ needs, identify business opportunities and strategically align recruiting efforts accordingly, as well as drive content and product opportunities
  • Build a working knowledge and network in a key sector and develop awareness of broader industry trends / dynamics relevant to expert recruitment and client servicing
  • Work on other initiatives associated with building the networks with councils.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English, any other languages are welcome
  • Bachelor’s Degree is a must, Master’s is preferred
  • At least 1-year team leadership and management experience, preferably from recruitment industry, journalism, and conference production with speaker acquisition experience
  • Good understanding, awareness and interest in financial markets
  • Strong drive and passion in building and managing a team, naturally confident, entrepreneurial, dynamic, outgoing and have a natural network
  • Efficient multitasker and ability to work under pressure
  • Intellectually curious with a passion for learning.
