About the role

Our Shared Services teams are pivotal to our success. They work closely with our lawyers to help deliver an outstanding level of service to our Australian and international clients. Our Business Development, Communications and Marketing (BCM) team is a key team within our Shared Services function, that partners with the legal teams to drive strategic client and market-facing outcomes.

A new opportunity has arisen in our Business Development team for an experienced Business Development Executive to partner with key practice teams in delivering on their BD plans.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager in Melbourne, this role will include the following responsibilities:

  • Development and deployment of BD plans for each area within your portfolio
  • Managing pursuits including preparation of tenders and capability statements (as necessary)
  • Key client plan development and execution
  • Leading BD activities for our Victorian State Government Clients
  • Development and implementation of direct marketing campaigns
  • Development and implementation of events/webinars
  • Evaluate/recommend sponsorships
  • Client research/market analysis to support business development efforts
  • Propose and manage sector budgets (as necessary) on annual basis
  • Project budget management

About you

In order to be successful in this role you will have approximately 5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a professional services firm. You will be self-motivated, proactive and have sound stakeholder management skills. In addition you will have:

  • A degree qualification within Marketing or Business Development
  • Experience advising in the government sectors is highly regarded, but not essential
