APSMA VIC Short Black series
Dîner en Blanc - Building an event from the ground up

Dîner en Blanc is a global phenomenon. A pop-up, flash-mob style surprise dinner party founded in Paris and now hosted across the globe from Costa-Rica to Canada, Mumbai to Kenya and in March 2015, Australia's very own Melbourne.

Due to popular demand for APSMA sessions that explore the world of events, we will take you inside one of the biggest and newest to Melbourne - Dîner en Blanc.

This is an opportunity to learn from a successful event case study: the how to and lessons learned – from conception right through to execution. Sara Walsh from Chameleon Events and her team had to introduce the brand to the Melbourne market place, build a team, influence social media streams and work media channels to deliver a world class event in the heart of Melbourne. This is event and project management at its finest on a very large scale.

Sara has over 15 years’ experience in event management, she started out in London working at one of HRH the Prince of Wales’ Charities, and then moved to professional services in Melbourne. Sara started Chameleon Events 10 years ago where she and her team organise a variety of events from weddings, to parties and corporate events.

Our Short Black events are punchy and informative presentations covering topical issues facing BD, marketing and communications staff at professional services firms. Each event is provided at a rate of $33 for APSMA members and will take no longer than one hour.

APSMA thanks Deloitte for hosting this event
