We are excited to invite you to our first event for 2016 and share what we have in store for the rest of the year.

Although individual event registration is available, we encourage attendees to take advantage of the Next Step Program package which provides the opportunity to register for all five events in the series at a cost of just $245 for APSMA members ($370 for non-members).

Please forward this on to colleagues who may be interested in our Next Step program of events.

We look forward to seeing you in August for our first event "Increasing your impact – techniques for influencing senior people".

NSW Next Steps event one: Increasing your impact – techniques for influencing senior people

The workshop will explore the practical challenges of influencing Partners, managers and other senior team members.  Increasing your personal impact with these stakeholders ensures the advice you provide is heard and you are included in decisions that impact your role.

We will consider what you can do personally to change a relationship, how to collaborate with others to increase the impact of your function or team and how to describe the contribution you make to the execution of firm strategy.   Working on all three areas can significantly increase your influence.

A unique feature of the workshop will be to openly discuss the challenges of working with Partners. Anna Hinder, our facilitator, has extensive experience working with many different types of Partners and the options available to increase influence with them.  It’s sure to be an interesting discussion!

Who should attend?

Marketing and Business Development industry professionals who are seeking to build their influence and improve their ability to drive change.

NSW Next Step event four: Presenting with impact

Date: October 2016

“It’s the feeling not the facts that you leave people with that resonates with them”

Being a good presenter is now just expected. This means how to structure presentations, look confident, hide the nerves and answer questions assertively. But good does not equal great. And now, we are expected to be great. This workshop explores the difference that makes the difference between a good presentation and a great one. That is, not only getting your messages across articulately but how to emotionally connect with your audience, bring them on a journey. We explore the rational and emotional drivers that help to make our presentations more persuasive, and techniques that are based on years or neuroscientific research that will add a new dimension to your presentation to make them stand out from the crowd.

A highly interactive and discussion based session for industry professionals who want to take their communication and presentation skills to a new level.
