Australia’s business leaders don't need to look far into the future to see the new wave of digital disruption headed towards them. In fact, the wave has already crashed, and its impact is showing no sign of subsiding. Arguably, technology has been progressively driving the biggest disruption to business models since the industrial revolution as it influences and transforms the ways that we operate, the tools that we use, the services we market and how we engage with our customers.

Join Michael Veasey, Chief Information Officer, Minter Ellison, as he shares examples of how businesses and industries around the world are embracing technological disruption to defend and grow existing market position.  Michael will discuss the potential of this new world order for professional services firms prepared to review traditional ways of doing business and adopt new and innovative approaches.

Michael will touch on:

  • factors disrupting industries
  • threats to professional services and the impacts on clients
  • what is happening locally and how we can embrace and integrate the changes in the digital landscape into the strategy and culture of our firms.

About our speaker:

Michael is a commercially astute, business savvy professional that has over 20 years of experience in ICT strategy operations and management across a number of different industries including retail, education, financial services and legal.

In his current role as Chief Information Officer at Minter Ellison, Michael drives the push towards the digitisation and modernisation of the firm’s work practises.

Additionally, Michael leads the Technology Services, Knowledge and Business Services teams and is a thought leader in the firm on disruption, particularly in relation to digital disruption.
