Mindfulness is the skill of training yourself to be more present, to pay attention to what you are doing and to be engaged in the present moment, without distraction. When you’re mindful, it helps you to clear your head, concentrate, relax and cope with stress. You are also more aware of yourself, your body and the environment.

Practicing mindfulness, even just for a few minutes a day, will allow you to be fully present in your life and work, and improve your quality of life.  With practice you learn to shift from reacting to situations to responding to life in meaningful and purpose filled ways.

In this interactive session Kelly Tsagournos, coach, facilitator and leadership developer at BEAM Empowered will explain what mindfulness is, how to practice it and share with you tips and tricks of how to incorporate mindfulness into your everyday.
