The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most important change in data privacy regulation in 20 years. It will enter into force on 25th May - are you ready for it?

Too many companies consider data protection as purely a compliance issue. While compliance is absolutely necessary leading up to the implementation of GDPR, it's also an opportunity for organisations to be open, honest and transparent with their customers. Brands can go above and beyond in their approach to privacy, harnessing it as a key brand differentiator by building trust and long term loyalty. Join us to find out how GDPR is a chance for your brand to become more customer centric.

Chris Combemale, CEO of the DMA Group (Direct Marketing Association and Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing) will be dissecting DMA consumer attitudes to privacy research. Joining him is Alexander Shepherd, Partner at law firm Bird & Bird ATMD, who will explain the core aspects of the new law; that will be relevant for the marketing sector. These include geographic scope, accountability, consent and profiling.

With additional insights from BritCham’s Marketing & Creative and Information & Communications Technology Business Groups, attendees will receive top tips for what marketers can do to become compliant, and why making privacy a brand asset is imperative to business success.
