Why do capable people and teams sometimes struggle to perform when it matters most?
In high-pressure moments, underperformance is not always a question of skill. Often, the skill is there, but access to it is disrupted by pressure. This session introduces Composed Performance, a practical framework for understanding and managing the role composure plays in decision quality, consistency, and performance.
Led by Kal Ghayur, CFA, FSIP, this webinar will explore how composure can be treated as a measurable performance risk factor rather than a fixed personality trait. Attendees will gain a clear way to identify composure risk, understand how it affects performance under pressure, and apply practical techniques to improve access to skill when the stakes are high.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand why pressure can disrupt access to skill
- Learn how composure influences decision quality and performance
- Identify composure risk at an individual, team, and organisational level
- Explore practical techniques for building and regulating composure
- Leave with tools that can be applied immediately in professional settings
